PUBLIC HEARING
· File #ZBA2005-01 – Application for a 15’ side line variance to amend previous variance granted 5/11/89 requesting an 8’ variance to construct a 1 ½ car attached garage on property at 14 Ridgewood Rd (Map 14, Lot 74) Owner/Applicant: Sharon & Richard Bigge (Received 2/10/05; Site walk 2/28/05 rescheduled to 3/7/05 at 6p.m., Public Hearing 3/10/05 continued to 3/24/05, Decision by 5/12/05)
Hearing opened at 7:30 p.m.
Members present: R. Maloney, N. Wilson, J. Prusak and M. Masinda seated for P.
Wright.
Owner Richard Bigge was also present.
A site walk was held on 3/7/05. Members and owner same as above
R. Maloney asked R. Bigge to describe what the hardship would be.
Mr. Bigge explained that the placement of the septic system prevented the garage from being built on the right side of the house. A previous variance was approved in 1998 but the garage was not built at that time. Mr. Bigge wanted to enlarge the proposed garage from the original width to 18’ with a requested variance of approximately 15’.
He also reported that the soil testing for next week would be postponed until April so that he could have the backhoe at his property only once to dig test pits and also to dig the foundation.
M. Masinda asked about an A2 survey. Mr. Bigge said the surveyor was coming out on Saturday, 3/12/05.
It was decided to continue the hearing and a special meeting may be called for on 3/24/05 if the survey was completed by that time. Mr. Bigge was to call A. Jordan to let her know when the surveyor could have the survey completed and then she would schedule the continued hearing.
Public Hearing closed 7:45 p.m.
